This is how a good wine tasting works
01. We prepare the table and our senses
- A professional sommelier will explain how the activity works, ask you to consume the wine responsibly and show you which wines are part of the tasting. You will be given all the necessary materials.
02. We learn to observe
- The first thing is to understand the fundamental aspects that distinguish one wine from another. The most common: colour and intensity. The good thing is that there is already plenty of information before you take the first sip.
03. We identify the aromas
- As a group, you will quickly learn to recognise the different families of aromas. It is important to describe what you notice in your own words, without judgement or wrong opinions.
04. We taste and answer
- Now comes the most fun part, competing in teams. Using the explanations you have been given, it is time to match flavours and aromas and answer questions in a quiz format.
05. We share conclusions
- The sommelier finishes answering the last questions about each wine, reviews the answers and… announces a winning team. Everything will be relaxed and easy-going, encouraging good conversation and stronger group cohesion.

¿Do you need to know about wine to take part?
No, and the less you know, the more enriching and fun it can be. The session is designed to discover a new world and to compete on equal terms. The sommelier will give you all the key information and materials you need to take part and enjoy the experience. No, there will not be an oenology exam at the end.
¿What happens if someone does not drink alcohol?
Of course, as well as encouraging responsible consumption, participation is entirely voluntary. There are various options we can explore for people who do not drink alcohol, such as “alcohol-free” alternatives or activities involving only the sensory element.
In any case, we can draw more conclusions in a preliminary meeting. If practically nobody on your staff drinks alcohol, we will recommend another team building activity that is better suited to your profile.
¿Where can a corporate Wine Tasting be organised?
It can be held at wineries, restaurants, hotels, event venues or at the company’s own premises if there is a suitable room. We only need a comfortable table with good lighting. Oh, and it should not have very strong smells that could distract us from the tasting.
