Run a HACKATHON with your company
Anyone can meet up to talk. Bringing several teams together to present effective work is within reach of only a few. With a Hackathon you concentrate talent and creativity to overcome a common challenge.
¿Ready to turn ideas into proposals?
This is the day you will prove
the real value of your ideas
A corporate hackathon is an experience in which the whole company takes part to solve a common challenge. You can work on launching a new product or improving internal processes that could do with a rethink.
Contrary to what is often claimed, this is not a competition for programmers. The marketing, sales, design, human resources, and customer service teams all take part… Everyone united to overcome the challenge. ¿Shall we set it up?

This is how a Hackathon done properly works
01. We put the problem on the table
- We guide you and help you define a specific challenge and explain the context clearly. We take stock of the available resources and staff. We make sure the challenge is clear and realistic.
02. We mix profiles that would not normally mix
- The teams are usually multidisciplinary. Each person brings their strengths and takes on a specific responsibility. The best thing is that, sometimes, the solution comes from the person you least expect.
03. Ideas stop being notes in a notebook
- Get ready to see your team start researching and debating among themselves. Lots of proposals will come to the fore and you will have to shape them to create sketches, models, presentations, prototypes… whatever is needed.
04. Mentors ask uncomfortable questions
- There will be specialist professionals supporting each team to answer questions and try to get the most out of the experience. They will not do the work for you, instead they will be responsible for pushing each idea to uncover its strengths… and weaknesses.
05. Each team defends its solution
- A Hackathon ends with a presentation to a panel of judges. And no, it is not about presenting the eukaryotic cell, but about explaining your proposal and answering questions. The winner will be the one that brings the most originality and whose proposal is the most viable and impactful.

¿DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS?
¿What does a Hackathon achieve that another meeting does not?
The most important thing about a Hackathon is that it transforms all those vague ideas that remain on the back burner into real proposals. As time is limited, there is no room for endless debate, only a focus on delivering value. The aim is to produce something specific and actionable. We will decide the “what” beforehand in a strategy meeting.
Among the benefits, we particularly highlight collaboration between departments. You will see people from technology mixing with people from human resources or marketing. It is a very enriching experience that helps everyone appreciate the work of each department.
¿How do we prevent the challenge from starting with twenty minutes of silence?
we will organise an initial presentation where everything will be laid out, the teams will be formed and there will be an agenda to follow.
During the session you will have input from the mentors and the occasional interim review to see how everything is going. This way you avoid the unpleasant surprise of discovering that you have not understood the challenge properly when there are only 5 minutes left.
¿Do you need to know how to code to take part?
It is true that this type of challenge originated in technology development environments and among programming experts, but today they are multidisciplinary activities that require collaboration between many different departments.
¿Where do you put so many ideas, laptops and coffees?
We have held Hackathons in innovation hubs, universities, event spaces and, where conditions have allowed, in the offices of the company itself.
It is essential for the venue to have a good internet connection, tables to work at, power sockets and at least a small stage or platform for the final presentations.
¿How much does a Hackathon cost?
It will depend on the number of participants, the duration, the format and the level of production required.
We also need to see which venue we hire and whether we need more or less technological infrastructure. Other costs that have an impact include mentors, catering and audiovisual production.
